Harvey W. Halbertstadt, MD
Forensic Psychiatrist/Psychologist
Dr. Halbertstadt's experience includes child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry; competency determinations; marriage and family counseling; sexual exhibition, rape, and trauma; police harassment; employer harassment; bank robbery; depression, anxiety, and behavioral problems; homicide; posttraumatic stress disorder; emotional impairment; closed head injuries; arson; embezzlement; factitious disorder; spousal abuse; custody issues; stalking; command hallucinations; addictions; kleptomania; gambling and substance abuse; insanity pleas; and hypnosis.

Harvey is certified by the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians, the American College of Forensic Medicine, the National Board of Medical Examiners, the Michigan Board of Marriage and Family Therapy, and is a Fellow of the American College of Forensic Examiners.  He is a member of the American Academy of Psychiatry and Law, the American Association of Quality Assurance and Peer Review Physicians, the American Psychiatric Association, the Michigan Psychiatry Society, the Michigan State Medical Society, and the Oakland County Medical Society.

Harvey is an Editorial Board Member of the publication for Oakland County Medical Society Members, and is the Managing Editor of the Newsletter for Chairing Committee for The Michigan Psychiatric Society.  He also sits on the Oakland County Medical Legal Committee; is a Psychiatric Consultant to several schools and a residential home for disturbed children; is a psychiatric member of a group practice of oncologists; and is a past Secretary and Board Member of Royal Oak Physician Group of William Beaumont Hospital.  Harvey has been elected to the legislative Assembly of Michigan State Medical Society; and is a Member of the Michigan Peer Review Organization and Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Southeast Michigan.
 
James Gilbert Houston, PhD
Criminal Justice Expert
Mr. Houston has more than 30 years in criminal justice, including more than 15 years in the US Bureau of Prisons.  His experience includes correctional department training and consultation; work release programs; jail policies and procedures; gang violence, including prison gangs; delinquency; drug abuse, including addiction relapse; juvenile justice system; criminal behavior; prison management; social service programs; probation policies; and public safety. 

James conceived and implemented the Grand Valley Criminal Justice Education Center which delivers education and training to the criminal justice community statewide; developed a graduate distance learning program; consulted and received air time on issues of contemporary interest for TV and radio programs on gangs, violence, and drugs as well as one PBS documentary.   He has been a visiting professor at The University of South Africa and Vaal University, and is a Certified Auditor for the American Correctional Association.

Mr. Kennedy has more than 30 years experience involving security and safety issues including planning, implementation, training, and evaluation.  His expertise includes forseeability; standards of care; pursuits, use of force, and confinements; correctional reform; loss prevention; home and workplace violence; profiling; crowd control; lodging security; and victimization.

Mr. Lekan has 25 years experience in security and safety.  His experience includes security systems design and evaluation; crime foreseeability; standards of care; causation issues; executive protection; assault; security guard operations; sexual harassment; negligent deaths; corporate fraud; security vulnerability and countermeasures; due diligence investigations; food and product tampering; product infringement/counterfeiting; security training; security management; economic crime; and police excessive force claims. Expertise includes educational institutions (elementary, high school, and colleges), restaurants, hospitals, lodging facilities, banks, residential communities, commercial and retail establishments, industrial facilities and manufacturing plants.   

Tom is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and is a member of the Faculty for the Graduate School of Retail Banking and the Graduate School of Bank Operations at the Bank Administration Institution; a member of the American Society for Industrial Security, serving on the Investigators, Physical Security, and Utility Committees; a Chairman of the Board of Security Commission of the Bank Administration Institution; and a member of the American Hotel and Lodging Security Committee.
 
Terry D. Lewis
Traffic Safety Expert; Private Investigator
Mr. Lewis has more than 25 years experience involving vehicle crashes, traffic safety, and private investigations, including auto, truck, tractor-trailer, bus, motorcycle, train, boat, and bicycle incidents; highway and traffic design, including pedestrian injury; driver perception and response; human factors and vision; vehicle "black box" analysis; seat belts and air bags; biomechanics of occupants; skip tracing-missing persons; and serving legal documents.                                                        

Terry is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers and the National Association of Professional Accident Reconstruction Specialists.  He is a Security and Private Investigator, and is a court accepted expert in traffic accident reconstruction in Ohio and Michigan.  He is also trained as a police officer, a semi tractor-trailer driver, and in traffic accident investigations and event data recorders (vehicle black boxes).
 
Michael C. Mullins, LPI

Mr. Mullins has more than 24 years experience in security and investigations, including background checks, witness locating and interviewing; missing persons searches; reference checks; insurance claim work; video and photography evidence gathering; theft, drug abuse and fire investigations.

Michael has experience in multiple areas of law enforcement, working his way up from a Patrolman to Chief of Police.  He has completed a Certified Safety Fire Inspectors Course as well.

Mr. Nixon has nearly 20 years experience involving firearms and ballistics including guns and ammunitions technology, design, manufacturing, usage, safety, supervision and failures.  His expertise includes weapons training, wound ballistics, non-destructive testing and ballistics "fingerprinting."

Dr. Staubus has over 35 years of experience in toxicology and pharmacology research including pharmacokinetics, biopharmaceutics, and radiology. He has special expertise including training, usage, and teaching with the following alcohol and drug testing machines: BAC DataMaster, Intoxilyzer 5000 and 8000, and Intoximeter EC/IR II.  

Al is an Associate Professor Emeritus in the College of Pharmacy at the Ohio State University and is a Member of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, Toxicology Section; the Society for Scientific Detection of Crime (Past President); the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists; and was formerly on the Editorial Staff of the Journal of Investigative Radiology.

Kevin R. Theriault, ACTAR, CFC, CDS; Vehicle Crash Reconstruction Expert Mr. Theriault has over 25 years experience in law enforcement with special expertise in vehicle crash investigations and reporting.
