He also served as a nursing home expert for the State of Indiana, Office of the Attorney General, to evaluate the competency of nursing home administrators under review for receiving substandard quality of care violations. He has extensive facility administrative and operations experience, including senior management positions with long term care organizations that owned and operated nursing and assisted living facilities. 

He is a member of the American Health Care Association, the Health Care Association of Michigan, the Michigan Center for Assisted Living, the American College of Health Care Administrators, the National Fire Protection Association, and is a Certified Eden Alternative Associate.
